Ahhh beautiful Sambo, we haven't forgotten about you and the rescued eles at the Elephant Valley Project in Cambodia. I'm still looking into how we can help support this and other elephant rescue projects in Asia. I'll let you know as soon as it's all sorted. ????????????. We were going to visit the Pinawala Elephant Orphange in Sri Lanka but I've been researching and it seems that the elephants are bred in captivity simply for the tourist trade and are trained with bullhooks and chained ????...I was there in 2000 and I can still clearly remember all the eles literally running down a dusty road to bathe in the stream at its end and it looked so wonderful, but the reality is not. ????????????. So I'm now looking into the Elephant Transit Home where we can watch - not interact - with rescued elephants that will be released into the park. ????????????. Has anyone been to either of these places? Please let us know what it was like xxx . . . . . . . . #cambodia #mondulkiri #visitcambodia #explorerkids #khmer #elephants #lovecambodia #pleasedontrideelephants #travelwithkids #traveldiaries #littlestepsasia #tinytravels #holidaywithkids #loveelephants #travelstoke #traveldiaries #escapesnaps #wearetravelmums #evpcambodia #traveltheworld #traveldeeper #traveljunkie #temples #savetheelephants #travelblog #monks #elephantlove #mysomewhere #senmonarom
